So I graduated

I graduated College a few weeks ago. Crazy stuff. Needing a job now and attempting to get my shit together. Anyone hiring?

Oh geez

My emotional breakdowns are coming in a more frequent manner these days. It could be PMS. It could be the end of College. It could be my stress with all the work I have to do this semester. In reality, it is all of it.

I should really be trying to enjoy my last month and a half.

I found out today that my boyfriend will be coming with me to Disney World later this semester. This is exciting news. It should be a good time. It is funny though because he still has yet to meet my dad and we have been dating for over a year. He met my sister when she came to LA to visit. He met my mom when he stayed with us in Oklahoma over winter break. But Dad was out of town for that. And now my Dad is having to cancel his trip to Disney World meaning Matt won't meet him until graduation. It is totally weird. I'm sure Matt is beginning to think my Dad doesn't exist......much like the Lyric people thought for years when they thought I didn't have a Dad because they had never seen him. So maybe it is fitting.

I am doing makeup on a film set this weekend. It is a BIG job. Horror-film, so, slashed throats, stab wounds to the knee, bullet wounds to the head, bruises, all kinds of fun stuff. I am going to be a very busy makeup artist/hair stylist/costumer this weekend. I will try and put pictures up of the finished product!

Well, I have a headache, so I am going to bed. I hope my two followers are doing well! (That was my shout out to Katy and Tori)

Where is this semester going?

Holy CRAP!

So far I have spent about 3 weekend actually IN boston. I went skiing in Killington, Vermont this weekend. Fun stuff. Painful for the hips though.

But I mean, because of all this traveling I feel like this semester is flying by so fast!!!

It is my last one.

Damn.

In other news.
Valentines day.

So my boyfriend comes over to get me for dinner and brings this Huge bouquet of pink roses. They were incredible. And i must say, my boyfriend does really well when it comes to flowers. And then he took me out for dinner at this really nice italian restaurant in the North End called Strega. We got a bottle of Champagne and ate rediculous amounts of really good italian food. Matt made me try his lamb, I almost cried.
I got him concert tickets, so that will be fun, we go next week. I also got him a stuffed Pug that is holding a heart. He always talks about getting a pug.

Our one year anniversary of being a disgusting couple is also next week. We are taking a small vacation. The place however, i won't say. You never know who is reading, do you?...Tori. hahaha.

UM. I have a voice teacher again, I try out his class tomorrow. I am pretty excited. It has been almost a year since I have taken lessons regularly.

I want to give a shout out to my homeslice Katy. Without her, I wouldn't have made these AMAZING Oreo truffle balls.

Now to go make myself dinner and do some homework. blah.

Website

Well, I finally created a website for myself. I am in the works for registering a domain, once that is done I will be sure to post the website here. But I like it so far, it needs some color adjustment, but it says just about everything it needs to.

So I have a backstage.com account right? And that got me thinking about all the festivals that are coming up. I have a lot of stuff that I should submit, but my question is this: when is says "submitted films must have been completed after Jan 1. 2008" Does that include post? Because i have quite a few films that I shot at the end of 2007 and weren't out of post until Aprilish.....

Recently the theater has been calling to me. I don't know what to say. I went to see Cabaret the other night at New Rep and I can't say that it was a masterpiece, but it definitely made me think of the time I did Cabaret and how I need to start doing theater again. I think it would relieve a lot of stress.

Well, now I need to get to doing homework. Serious senioritis going on so far this semester.

I can't tell you how long it has been since I wrote in a blog. Oh the days of Xanga and Livejournal during High School.

Well, what can I say? I am what my blog implies, a female filmmaker. But you can call me Courtney. Originally from Oklahoma I ventured from my small town life to the Big City of Boston to study film. I have a lot of past and upcoming projects that I am excited to tell you all about, but for now I think I am going to fuck around with the layout of this thing.
